ECMの２１枚組CDBOXが届きました。実は未発表録音などはないようなので、買おうかどうか迷ったんですけど、某通販でかなり安い値段の表記の時があったので、手を出してしまいました。要するに、２日前に届いてはいるのですが聴いてないのです（笑）。でも、まとめてシカゴの前衛のアート・アンサンブル・オブ・シカゴとそのメンバーのECM作品を聴いてみるにはいい機会だし、何せ限定６千BOXということで、入手して良かったです。でも、CDがチャンと入っているか、音は普通に出るのかの確認だけは急がないと。けっこうヘヴィーなアルバムもあるので万人におススメするというわけにはいきませんけれども、聴いてみるといいかもなあ、とも思います。

(18/12/10)限定６千BOXの２１枚組CDセット。既発盤のBOXでアート・アンサンブル・オブ・シカゴのグループ名義、その各メンバーが参加したアルバムと、ECMの集大成的な内容になっています。ECM 1126, 1167, 1211/12, 1273, 1143, 1209, 1246/47, 1296, 1326, 1808, 1651, 1872, 1873, 2087, 2494/95, 1128, 1157, 2392。シカゴの前衛ジャズの面々なので、聴くのに覚悟を要するアルバムもありますが、その割にはグループの名義でのユーモラスな場面もあったり、なぜかレスター・ボウイが参加しているということで、「New Directions」名義のアルバムが入っていたりします。ただ、未発表音源等はない模様で、既にひととおり聴いた身にとっては、いつこれを聴くか、という問題がつきまといます。とりあえずは限定販売なので。
