今回は１６－１７世紀の音楽。ECMではダウランドを取り上げることが割と多かったので、親しみもわくのかなと思いますけれど、１つの曲の間に他の作曲家の曲をいくつもはさみこんで、それを溶け込ませるようにつなげて聴かせてしまおう、なんてアイデア、どこから出たんだろうと思います。

(14/05/09)ジョン・ダウランドは１６－１７世紀のイギリス出身の作曲家、リュート奏者。「ダウランドど同時代のパヴァーヌとファンタジー」の通り、だいたい１６－１７世紀の作曲家の作品がおさめられています。構成として変わっているのは、ダウランドの「ラクリメ」が奇数曲目に入って、その合間にそれぞれ別の作曲家の小品がはさみこまれていて、つながりとしては自然に１枚のアルバムとして聴けてしまうというところ。なかなか落ち着きます。
